Ballywalter Beach & The Generation Game
We have been having glorious weather this week and it's half term so my sister Rachael & family are visiting for a few days. We had a picnic lunch at Ballywalter Beach today where we have lots of lovely memories and it got me to thinking about how three generations of us had grown up playing there. My Mum was born in Ballywalter and she and her sisters and brother had the beach as their playground as it was just over the other side of the wall at the bottom of their garden. I spent many summer afternoons playing there with Rachael and my brother Simon throughout the 1970s and then 2 decades later we returned with my children Kerry and Matthew and now we all go there with Rachael's children Finn & Lily. It got me hunting out these old photographs and I'm looking forward to the day when I will be visiting Ballywalter Beach and taking photographs of my future grandchildren!
